LY Clio 182

Just dropped it off for the following.

- Full cambelt kit including auxiliary, tentsioners, and water pump.
- Inner arb bushes.
- Aircon regass.
- Rear axel spacers.
- Power steering flush.
- Oil and all filters.

Got a set of 182 alloys with virtually new 888s to collect tomorrow. Not bad for £125!

Did you call the previous owner a gimp as you drove off for abusing a LY Clio? I hope so?.

Few things went through my mind, didn’t realise the welsh were so cheap ???

Collected the 182 alloys today with the 888s. All have 4mm left across the tyre which is grand. Correct size also, 195-50-16.

Sourced a mint set of turinis without tyres so trying to decide if I should go with those, £560 all in with tyres fitted, or £320 with 182 alloys refurbed and tyres fitted. Choices choices.

Correct size would be 195/205 45 r16 wouldn't it ?

Ok just got the car back from the following work..... paid £430 for labour as I supplied the parts.

- Full cambelt kit including auxiliary, tensioners, and water pump.
- Inner arb bushes.
- Aircon regass.
- Rear axel spacers.
- Power steering flush.
- Oil and all filters.
- Gearbox mount
- Engine mount

Spent a few hrs fitting a acceptable steering wheel, mint front door cards and window switches, sorting the stereo wiring, fitting the temporary headunit, and mint dash inserts.

Certainly feels and looks much nicer to look at. Now need to remove seats, clean carpets, fitting other interior trims and replacement seats. Oh and clean the minging seatbelts.

Not having a lot of luck trying to find a decent set of turinis, expensive shite with s**t tyres and need refurb. So for the minute I have dropped off the spare 182 alloys with 888s for refurb until something decent comes up.

Yeah I know, like I said if something good comes up I will, but not paying what people are asking for s**t wheels and tyres.

Interesting day.

Finished the inside front of car, best I can get it and it’s actually a nice place to be now. Deep cleaned seats, all plastics, etc and fitted new mats.

Rear is done but working on inner arches before I put back together.

Mine aren’t bad but I wonder how many people have actually looked??? Looks like the phase 2 172 and 182 is going the same way as the phase 1s......

Also have a standard exhaust on its way, can’t fit the replacement front seats yet as the after market exhaust is in the way of bolts. All new hangers and mounts will be fitted at the same time.

Ive seen a couple of rusty arched ph2’s, assume its come from inside on a lot of them as down the seam. Caught that just in time, will clean up ok
