need major lows on my clio, its on TA techinixs atm front struts are wound right the way down and i have removed the adjusters from the rear springs but im still not satisfied with its height :/ ,,, it doesnt lay frame so im still not happy low ,,, any advise on what others may have done to get rid of all arch gap and tuck major tyre ?

Do you understand what lay framing is? I'm guessing not. You can only drive a car which can lay frame on air.

Otherwise your car really will be static. i.e. Wont move.

Because it looks like you have ZERO suspension travel, so either riding on broken springs, or a boot full of cement bags.

"Camberz FTW y0!" No...... again, it looks like the wheel bearings have collapsed.

"Pimps be lovin poke" No..... just looks like you bought the wrong offset wheels from gumtree

All of the above, in my opinion of course, look awful and RUIN the drive of the car. Everytime I see one of these goon types (all different makes and models), I just shake my head to myself
Haha you just sound like a grumpy old man!!

i know a lad who's about 120mm lowered on a corsa d, the cars perfectly drive able and looks amazing, that's my opinion and there's loads who'll agree with me.

Maybe I'm old as well, it just looks like broken suspension to me too and not a style I like but I accept everyone has their own taste and if it floats your boat then so be it :)

Would the ride not be as crashy as hell?

it Depends how its set up and what coilovers you run. mines absolutely fine and will be even better once ive got gaz coilovers on because im having shorter struts and smaller springs made so i will have more damping... + i can adjust them to really soft and it feels like your driving a boat! so no its not to badd really!

I dont get why people think its s**t, On some cars that done it completely wrong then fair enough, but when its got Poke, and slammed then fair enough there stunning!
like my mate who owns his own company has a A3 with a 1.2 turbo, on Bags with 3DSM wheels i think! google:

Just get custom springs. I actually like the look of the car for a modded car and a modded clio for that. Nice to see something different than the usual coilovers, silver visions, cup spoiler, turini's/oz f1's and a cliosport sticker in the back. Although I like the normal cliosport look as well lol. Makes me laugh that so many people on her dont understand why ypu want to spend some £££ making a 1.2 seriously low, although they are the same people that thinks it make sense spending ££££ on a 1*2, 197, 200 squeezing out an extra 10bhp that you won't notice.

^ ^ ^ this is an example of how not to do it right!?!?!
i like the look of sensibly lowered cars.. they do look better... but camber... no. i have to agree with the look of broken things. the arch should be just above the tyre when looking from the side.. IMO, possibly a little higher at the back

bags = the only option if you want to be low enough to touch the floor.

Well that's fair enough and that's interesting to know its not that bad a ride then. I know its not the same but on my old 1.2 it had apex shocks and springs and it was such a hard ride although was awesome on bends so I just imagined a low/slammed car would be worse

If I'm honest I don't really mind the 1st picture of those two Clios, so to maybe say I dont like the style was wrong. Just how some people go about it that I dont like, for instance that white A3 above looks shocking and not nice at all to me

Wow seriously I post a comment for people to "advise" I'm not being funny but go moan to your fuckin mothers ! My car my god damn choice ... Not my problem you don't like stances cars .. Don't click on a thread that says "major lows" ... And as for static ... You don't have to be on bags to lay frame and be low .. My mate mike jones .. His golf gti beats bagged golfs .. My misses Lil bro's polo is lower than any polo in fast car or on bags ... Oh and just to state ..THEY DRIVE THEM DAILY .. Oh and give a flying f**k if my car says pull me over ... My cars completely declared so I've done nothing wrong .. Come down and speak to all the guys here and tell them how pathetic it is to stance a car ? Tbh they will just laugh at you ! Jeez it's a forum not a bitching contest .. Go spend all day with you head under your bonnet because 182/172/197 whatever you drive I bet my car hasn't spent as much time on axel stands as all your "race cars" oh and for all you haters aswell as declared .. My broken camber wheels and pathetically low car PASSED its Mot ....LOL!!

Almost completly agree with you, Just a bunch of boring old men on here.

your wrong about laying frame static though, if your laying frame your cars bottomed out so you can't move. Can only be done with bags or hydraulics.

I think the only way you will go lower is bags dude.

I get where your coming from, 2 years ago all I wanted was low, but the roads are shocking and ended up hating driving my car with it being so low. Regards to the picture of your car, could properly benefit from some camber on the front and less camber on the rear? Guy on here called Adam had a mk2 ph1 RS and it had great stance.

i appreciate the low and slow scene especially on non sport clios. You car does look decent, i've got the same coilovers, it goes low enough on the front but i think im going to need custom rear springs, possibly 100mm then i can put the adjusters back in if its too much. Yeah it doesn't handle like a track car but it was never made for it.

I do think you should learn to respect these "old men" on this forum though, some of them might not understand the new scenes but they still give some great advice across the whole forum. No need to get so aggressive and spout all that language either.

Feel better now justslide after letting it all out? Sure someone will be along to give you a hug and a cup of tea to relax you

Granted the people who don't like it should have re-framed from commenting, including myself (Although I was curious as to what the ride would be like that low) but to get that worked up like you did is just a bit silly

Yeah alright I accept I went a bit savage but its just annoying on how everything came across .., an I don't mean constantly on the floor I mean like to have clear wince but when the roads turn crap just for a bang and spark now and again because clios are rubbish to get major lows ... And seriously you can do it on car without bags ... There's a polo and an mx5 in Chippenham here that are like it so

I know what your on about but that is not laying frame, it's not possible on coilovers if you want the car to move. It's not possible!!

I'm all for a bit of stance but this scraping of the ground s**t is retarded, why would you want to do that to your car? It means you've got wheels that don't fit.

You can't lay frame on coilovers, that's not how it works mate.

Mine is low enough to catch the splitter on some stuff but the mani-cat joint scrapes on speedbumps now cos of the 182 manifold design.
