matched inlet manifold on Mk1 RS 172

  RSTUNER'ED-C&B'ED RS-1
About 3 days ago, I got all the ports matched on my Mk1 RS 172 including plenham + inlet manifold both ends. The worst match was between the inlet manifold and engine ports. Haven't touched the ECU yet, Car runs awesome now but I am pretty sure I can still unleash some more HP.

I know the best sol'n is piggyback or custom mapping but my question is superchips is still good for this type of application? Mods on the car are viper + decat and port matching.

i still need to get my inlet fitted and when it is im going to put a gp N ecu so to sort out the air/fuel ratio so it doesnt run lean.

what improvements do you see in doing the inlet?

imo DONT touch piggyback ecu,s- nasty sh*t!
Go get the real thing then that way its undetectable and alot more realiable.

with group N ecu does it matter if i get my cat back exhuast before or after the gp N ECU, cos with a re-map you have to do it after all your mods, does this apply with the gp N ecu?

piggyback is better to remap why

Doubt it will matter mate as the ecu has already been programmed in a certain way. Will probably improve overall as the ecu will have been designed for the breathing mods. Still debating between remap and Grp N?

iv heard something about when it gets plugged in, it adjusts and then keeps that setting so if you add any mods it will not see them and will not change the fuel/air ratio.

I think I am gonna go with superchips option, I know it is not the best but at least can correct AFR.
