Megane 225 v’s Focus Rs

Has anybody read the review in top gear on these two - the megane gets loadsa praise and i supposed to be quicker (yet not feel like it) Personally i think the meganne looks a little sh*te compared to the focus although the megane would certainly pull from it in and outa the twistes!

Accelaration-wise the megane seems to have all its rivals beaten. Apparently the in-gear times beat the alfa 147gta. It just sounds a bit dissapointing through the bends and when thrashing it the traction control keeps cutting in. I have a choice between this or a LCR in January but Im hoping theyll do a cup version of the megane before then which will answer all the criticisms. Focus sounds more fun though.

With regard to the looks, Beckenham Renault hve a cup blue one which looks pretty good but not as purposeful as the focus. I always think the Megane looks a bit soft.

Yeh and that huge arse that its got and lack of side skirts does make it look pretty understated - would scare most bmw drivers tho who wanna race!

I think it looks crap IMHO didnt like the previous people carrier and the new one has an influence of fords terrible styling. Must admit id like the new engine in my cup but cudnt afford the insurance (18yrs old) Im sure it would go like stink though

18 with a Cup...i think that will do!

The base megane has crap underpinnings, never was a good idea to make it into a Renault Sport model.
