What a car! Sounds like a beast on start up, snapping & snarling :argie: Truely amazing sound I'd never get bored of! Anyway, my good friend dropped her off Saturday morning & left her all weekend, just how I like it.
The owner takes great care of it, its very clean anyway but just lacked that shine, that's where I come in
The car has venture shield all over, except the roof & part of the doors iirc, the edges on it make it a bugger to polish etc as your constantly following the lines with a damp microfiber getting the polish off.
So Saturday (bearing in mind it was mega hot & sunny!) I gave her -
pre wash foaming ifoam :argie:
Alloys cleaned, iron out, de tarred
Shuts, grills etc G101'd
Washed with G3 body prep wash
Iron out all over
De tarred with trusty Oblitarate
Clayed with the G3 mitt (so much quicker!)
Washed again
Sun is silly hot now, water streaks/spots all over Out came Carpro Spotless! What an amazing product! Saved my bacon, dealt with 90% of the water spotting & went a long way.
Rinsed off & dried in supersonic time!
Continued ...
Werkstat Prime strong applied all over
Z6 wipe down
Chemical Guys wet mirror finish
Windows cleaned inside & out
Interior cleaned & vac'd
seats cleansed & conditioned with Razeglaze twins
Then I went under the bonnet .... ooohh hello! G101 with brushes & cloths, then dressed with Dressel. This is where I find it really does a great job, getting in all the fiddly bits you can't. Super product.
Pics from Saturday.
Another early morning sunday, 8.30 start.
Dusted her off firstly, then wiped down with Z6.
Windows were polished with Ceriglass, love this stuff.
Spritz was then applied all over
Exhaust were polished etc
Diffuser wash dressed with my trim wax
Scuttle panel was dressed with Dressel
Wiper arms were dressed with my trim wax as was the rest of the trim
Front grill surrounds/fogs/window trims cleansed with Prime strong
Front grills dressed with Dressel
Alloys/calipers were wiped with Zepplin qd :argie:
Alloys/calipers then cleansed with Prime strong & then spritz
Arches dressed with Perl mixed 3-1 with water
I then couldn't decide which wax to use. I intended to use Bos but really wanted to try Desire too.
So, I tested both. Bos went on the wing while I put Desire on the front section of the door. I could instantly see that Bos had the edge, superb flake pop, really brought the colour to life. I really liked Desire though, spread just as nicely. I hope to try it out on the vee soon.
I then proceeded with Bos. Was a dream to apply & remove even in the sun.
She was then wiped down with Z8. I think that's it!
Thanks for looking :approve:
