182 cup
Ill start with a little background info on me and my car history.
I bought my first Cliosport back in 2009 in the form of a 172 Cup. After modifying it slightly I starteed doing trackdays and caught the bug instantly. When things started to go wrong and it looked like it would cost me an arm and a leg, I decided to cut my losses and traded it in for a 200 Cup.
I continued on with my trackdays and installed an MSV half cage and had a spare set of wheels wearing R888's. This was a great car for track work and never missed a beat - even with me over revving it at anglesey when I dropped it into 2nd at 80mph!
My job takes me all over the world for long periods of time and I couldnt see the sense in having a car on finance sitting on the drive for months on end. I got rid of it and whilst searching the for sale section spotted a 2004 BG 182, cup spoiler and suspension packs, well documented service history and only 42,000 miles on the colck. It had a ktec exhaust and window tints but apart from that it was standard. The plan for the car was to put me on for a couple of years until I bought a place with a garage and then turn it into a dedicated track car. But I would collect parts for the build over the next couple of years ready to be installed when I get my garage. But that was never going to happen!
When picked her up from Rob
I did my first trackday in it at Oulton Park at this years RS day. I wanted to set a couple of laps and see what I was capable of with the standard car and then put my track wheels on with AO48's and see how it went with them.
Track wheels when they came back from the coaters
On track with standard wheels
Then on wen the Yoko's
A few area I needed to work on were the brakes which went spongey after a couple of session, the suspension that had too much roll and I could of done with a little extra power.
First thing I did was to sort the brakes out as after Oulton, the car was making funny noises from the brakes. Upon removal of the brakes, I was presented with this!
So then on went the new brake settup
That is where to car is at the moment but I do have a few parts that will be on in time for my next trackday!
Will keep updated when I can
