milltek or mongoose??

hiya guys im after a new exhaust system for my ph1 172. im after the twin pipes tailpipe design (like the ktr and mongoose) but i dont know whether to hold out for the milltek (and be unsure of the style) or jus go for a mongoose??

any help would be great

Why mongoose ? Its not a name you usually see mentioned for the 172 !

When i had a 172 , i had one made up at powerflow in Burnley . £270 , full cat back stainless stealth system .They'll make you any system that you specify .

ah ok, i currently have a ktr system, looks great but a bit loud!

the reason why i mentioned mongoose is that i used to be on the ford scene and mongoose was a top manufacturer and seemed to be the choice of most people with cosworth's.

i'd rather not go powerflow, im more after power rather than noise

Tbh mate , none of the aftermarket exhausts are gonna give you massive gains in power if any , you'll be lucky to see a couple of bhp .

lol supposed you could say I'm biassed but would have to say Milltek, seems a good all round solution - louder than std but not too loud, well constructed (imo), fits perfectly and improvement on the road, good value for money

imo the milltek 172 system tailpipes look a bit silly, as they just look too big. if they had a single pipe option, or even an oval than i would have definetely bought one.
