Mince Paint Work!

Just got my car back from the bodyshop. No cheap back hander, and the paint work is rubbish. To start colour not the same, the finish is really dull on my new 172 side strips. The utopia spoiler i bought from k-tec came with the wrong size of screw making it a pain to fit and the paint would not stick to the edge of the spoiler. Looks sooooo pants. Was looking forward to seing it all finished and cool but wish i had never touched it. £450 all in. what a complete waste of money due to the crappy spraying. Will give the guy a bit of credit as he said he would do the spoiler again, but its the least he could do. Sorry for the rant but so not chuffed.

Well said ChavyBoy, Dont pay him until he does the lot again, i paid £475 for the front bumper, bonnet (re-pray), n/s wing (sratch repair respray), Front bumper (re-spray), PI roof spoiler f(ftted and sprayed), and that was from a BMW accident repair specialist, top quality job and guaranted!

Simple! Take it back and make him do it again. Thats exactly what I did on one of my cars. Got it back perfect!

Before the guy at the paint place was ready to hand your car back, you would have thought that he could have said to himself "If this was my own car and I had just collected it from the body shop, would I be happy with the quality of spraying?"

If the answer was NO, then he should have put the job right! Since it is costing such a lot of money, tell him that you dont want it back until it is just as he would like it himself, had it been his own car!!
