Missfire, faulty leads or..

Today when the car struggled to start again (after 2 days of wet weather/fog/light rain) I realized that it only did this when the weather was wet and cold (late autumn and early spring months)
Each time the cure was to take out the leads and clean them and/or driving till the engine was up to temp and getting rid of any moisture trapped inside.
Only conclusion is that the leads are faulty and allow condensation in the coilpack area
Coil pack should be fine, never had any problems with ignition except the cases above
plugs are basically new, only covered 12k and they are the original ngk items
So I'm considering of buying a magnecor 8,5mm red set of leads, but heard/seen that people had problems with magnecor before, especially the blue ones
How are the red ones going?
Phoned renault 2 hours ago and they said 135 pounds for a genuine set.....
85 for the magnecor red (k-tec)- so they look like the most decent option I have
Opinions?
cheers!

Personally, I'd advise a diagnostic session before splurging out cash on a set of leads that potentially won't fix your problem.

now the car works fine after some start/stops. so don't think that anything would came out at a diagnosis. basically I have to wait for it to go wrong again and call someone to have the car inspected while still cold, otherwise problem could easily go away if I'm going there and the engine gets warm :(

Have a similar problem with mine so took it to Renault this morning for a diagnostic check. Computer came up with nothing so i took the mechanic out for a spin and he agreed that there was a definate misfire. £67 lighter and no nearer sorting the problem. Just something for you to consider before booking it in mate.

that's why I don't wanna go with renault. especially because now the car's fine, so you realize they won't find anything and still charge me some
