Well i had chance to work on an Evo 8 the other day while i was at PWPro waiting for its window tints, this needed a full correction detail but it was very will looked after by the owner, So i got cracking on the detail.
First up was the Wheels off, soaked inside with TFR and out outers with Alloy cleaner, both left to dwell for a few minutes and then agitated with various wheel brushes, and power rinsed off. while dwelling the arches where given a good clean with again a TFR/APC solution and various brushes followed by the rinse off.
Next up
walk round with APC on lower panels, rinse'd off the body work ready for BH SF, followed by a 2BM with GG's, washed with megs hyper wash using a lambs wool wash mitt. started the wash from roof down.
Then the heavens opened up so inside for the dry off and clay time, went with DODO soft clay with Mags QD, with a little bit of tardis for the tar spots again lower panels only with tardis.
Tape up time, went round and tapes up all the normal areas ready for the G220 with 6.5 Lake Country CCS Pads , never used a DA before so today was the day i lost my DA cheery, felts very strange at first but started to get the feel for of its, and quite liked it, but for the tighter area out came my trusty Rotary with a 3.5 Lake Country CCS Pads. used Menzerna Power Finish for the amount of correction needed.
I know i have a dirty arm...
Next up seal, went for chemical guys jetseal, sealed in and then back out side to wash off any sling off and polish dust etc,
Now its wax time went with DODO light fantastic to bring out the paint flick. and i think it worked really well,
Wheels waxed with Rim wax and tyres dressed with Megs Endurance.
and for the finished Item,
Thanks for reading and it was a great day, really enjoyed myself not offtern i get to work on an EVO.
here are the tints being installed by Paul, i wound write a bit about it but i know nothing about window tinting so i will let the pics do the talking.
