MIXING ENGINE OIL

hi all

i was just looking to find out if certain oils are miscable?

i am due to put in some castrl edge synthetic 5w-40 but it comes in a 4L jar so i could do with a little top up to get the right amount for my dci.

i have a 1L jar of castrol GTD magnatec 10w40 semi-synthetic and wanted to know would there be any problem topping up with this oil?

I've never heard of problems with mixing oil.
