easy people. ok i spent an hour earlier hammerin a screwdriver thru my old plastic door pins so i cud put my new alloys on. Youde have thought theyde have been threaded. another reason for hating the french i guess :/

If you mean alloy door pins, theres a little clip inside the door which you prise off (annoying, fiddly, skin removing job though!), then the whole thing comes out complete with the metal wire! Then just hack saw the old door pin off, then line up the new ones and tighten up - easy!

Or i mightve got the wrong end of the stick?!!!

you got the actual plastic door pin which is on the bar which goes into the central lockin mechanism. i took it out of that so i had just the bar and the door pin. But the door pins dont unscrew from the bar, its just... on it? lol anyway, the alloy pins i had just pushed over the bar n didnt really seem very secure... so i sikaflexed all inside so it was, let it dry, then put it back into the central lockin mechanism. all is well now , just a pain in the arse

Which alloy pins did you get?

On my old RT i bought those blue L.E.D. ones. The alloy pin on that was stuck onto a bar just like the old pin.

I had to saw the old bar a little bit down, then just connect the 2 bars up. There was a little clip thingy supplied, so they were screwed together tightly.

Sounds like you had a right pain in the arse job there!

i havent got any in mine. they got taken out when the alarm was fitted i assume. just got little rubber covers in there now. looks really weird.

alloy pins i brought off ebay. they just got 2 black rubber pieces goin round em for grip. look nice. b**ch to fit
