i was thinking of getting some eibach pro springs as im not interested in slamming the car to the deck. What dampers would people recommend and what work would need to be done on the camber adjustment. Plus is there any work required to adjust the brake bias.

You dont need new dampers as good condition OE ones are fine despite what some monkeys will say.

You dont need ot correct the camber as it doesnt alter massively and camber isnt always a bad thing.

Some adj might be needed on the mechanical compensators above the rear axle.

fitting springs is a 2hr job andy anybody can really do it. I do the job for 50 quid for mates, but that totally depends on where you are.

As for teh brake bias valve Ren have specific setting pressures front to rear. But you cna adj it yourself to what you want or what you feel safe/comfortable with.

After fitting springs if i take a car to either the renault garage/ or find out what pressure they recommend front/ rear. Any garage should be able to readjust them to the original settings?

IF they have the equipment then yes.

Have a look under your car and see if it has a compensator as the 172 uses the ABS/EBD computer and a load sensor on the rear axle to calculate and distribute the braking as needed, its not mechanical.

Charlie Browns lowered my car. I assume they did the bias valve as the braking feels exactly the same as before (eg: damned good!).

They charged £40 for a couple of hours labour and £20 to do the tracking I think.

If so, they fitted the springs to my mates car too and that was also cheap...

I got an email from Eibach UK saying that they are developing a spring kit specific to the Clio RenaultSport 172.

Should be available in March
