was thinking about getting a k&n just seen this car on ebay and look at the relocated induction kit, he says its a custom jobby, do you reckon it works as its away from the engine and similar to a valver location?

Surely when the Hot Air feed valve opens the engine will be sucking in unfiltered air?.

yeah good point just looked good how it was relocated but looking again might not be the best!!

The airbox will be empty so it'll just be that bit open cone...will be ok and better than a normal IK as it'll have cooler air. RE the hot air valver...IIRC that would just opens on pressure from the feed pipe...since theres no pipe connected it'll always be shut?

no, it will always be open

unless he has gutted the flap from the airbox that setup is ONLY drawing in hot air from the manifold feed hole, and nothing at all from the K&N
