mk2 brakes on a mk1?

  ph1 172
I was looking at my mk1 16v and a mk2 clio (early 172) up on ramps the other day and i was wondering if the brakes would swap easily...

Firstly the calipers would not be a striaght swap i know....

But from what i can see you would just swap the uprights and calipers hubs and disks. Im sure its not as easy as that but has anybody tried or got any ideas what else would have to change?

Mk1 brakes are fine Imo so point chnaging your'll just increase unsprung mass.

Better idea would be if you want 172 barkes (there all the same 172 and 182) to make an adapter bracket up which you use the make the distacne from your hub to a 172 caliper brakcet the same.
