mk2 phase 1 clio wont start

mates grandads clio wont start its a 1.6 rxe automatic its got no spark and fuel pump wont prime its had new coil packs, new crank sensor, immobilizer taken of ecu, tryed another ecu. all earths cleaned and refit with copper grease, warning light on dash its a orange rectangle with sqwiggle through it if gear box ecu is unplugged this light goes off, fuel pump works as have put a straight live from the battery to it, found cracked wire under passenger light fixed that, all other wires look fine,car turns over on starter any other ideas welcome

IS the fuel pump kicking in?
Being as there no spark and fuel however would indicate an ECU/imobilier issue

fuel pump aint kicking in but the ecu has had the imobiliser removed and use a different ecu plus when key is turned in ignition the red light turns off indicating the immobilser if off

Get checking the relays then

already been changed and then put old ones back on again still nothing

You will have a rotten wire under the fuse box.

i already found the rotten wire under the fuse box and fixed it it was red and went into a relax and already stated about relays

Mm does it think it's in gear possibly and the fail safe has kicked in?

Dunno I'm afraid! I'd probably check gearbox wiring and fuses and see if there's a way to fool it

just tried putting the car into gear but the key wont turn through to turn over i'm guessing that is what suppose to happen but try turning it over in park and neutral turns on the starter but still no fire
