MK3 v 197 MK3 front

I think i actually prefer the mkIII non rs with this lip than the 197 front. When i see a 197 on the road i barley bat an eyelid its too smooth, yet when i see a non sport in the rear view they seem to look a lot more menacing like a haloween pumpkin lol

other cars like 182 vs 1.2 MKII or megane vs meganesport its obviously better fronted on the Rsport model, cant help but think the 197`s front end is too tame (not talking about the arches, just the grin.)

i know i will be the only one, im not saying either is great or one is actually better, just think i like the MKIII non sport grin more.

there isnt much difference, just like the Megane PHS1 is better than PH2 as its a bigger grin..

My friend has a 138, the front end is nice with the RS Grill, but.... even owners would rather have the RS front end... no doubt.

How come you didnt buy an RS meggerman??

honestly, I didnt want the balloon payment at the end, ive done that twice and it just means your on a constant cycle of new renaults as the only decent trade in you get is from renault and other marques give you about £5k less. unless that is you decide to pull the usual £6-7k balloon payment (pcp) out of knowwhere and keep a car that is in fact by that time only worth £6-7k anyways ! which isnt easy when were in a credit crunch and ive just bought a new home

nah, this is my last renault i pay on it about the same a month as the R26 £184 (although only grp 9 ins, 38-42mpg, £170 a year for tax and cheaper tyres etc.. so save money day-to-day) and in 36months i own it. i can either save up for another car keeping the 138 for the gf or sell privatley and have a deposit for a different car from another marque.

by then there should be some cheaper and hopefully subtley revised STi`s or perhaps an R32 as ive always liked them.

sometimes think i prefere the front lip of mine to the 197 tbh....
makes it look more mean and menacinglol

i also know the 197 is better looking.

if the 197 had the the same mouth but with the RS lower grill & no plaggy bumbers it would look better but i guess we will wait for the facelift to see how the 197 front end changes

I would say the 197 as it gives the car a wider front and it just looks mean to mean in the rear view.

Its down to personal taste but i liked it so i did it

i think you need to read what i said m8. I know the 197 is great, i just think that the front i,e not the bloody arches ! could inheret the evil grin, at the moment its a bit narrow.

the reason that looks good is the stupidly wide arches & its sat in grass i low looking. im talking about the front grill only.

And on another note, those 'Sport kit' dealer bits like on that Red clio up there are reeeeeaaally not for me. They somehow make the wheels look smaller and the car look higher IMHO. (Please no one take offence). 197 front end all the way for me, that pic Gaz put up does it for me.

You will need a H1 bulb for the projectors, i think they look great and dont blind people as they are not all over the show. I can get hold of HIDs pm me if interested.

Waiting on my HIDs to appear and ill be running with them...As for the cornering lights i dont even know if mine work lol never noticed them while driving
