more 16v problems.

Kinda gettin used to problems with the car now. Only 2 weeks before she goes and i think from experience the fuelin is playin up.

When i was going down the motorway, bearly touchin the throttle, just enough to keep her going, it felt like the engine was breaking(as in stopping) or as if i was applying the breaks. It would do this for a few seconds the suddenly release and do it all again about 5 seconds later. However i can stop this breaking if i apply more throttle, and it pulls fine through all the gears.

So techie people, what could this be? I can only assume the fuel pump or injectors? Need to fix it before she goes.

you changed the fuel filter lately? maybe clogged up?

Fuel Filter? didnt know there was one!! Is it hard to change? where is it?

i bought some fuel line cleaner too, is this stuff anygood?

filters under the car at the back, you cant miss it.

Ever since i filled her up wih cheap, sh*te Asda fuel. Last time i do that!!

If it goes without problem flat out on a motorway, its unlikely the filter!
