well i started the day off by thinking i would give my engine bay a good clean up.....

so i went to halfrauds got the products and come home....then set to work

i thought it would be easier to take the bonnet off to work on the bay so set about doing this....and what happens..the bonnet slips...i now have chips on the corner of the bonnet..and 2 nice scuff marks on the bumper...looks like i am gonna have to get them sprayed then......

i then decided i would leave the bonnet on....so done the nuts back up..and decided to clean the engine bay...whilst by the manifold i was cleaning behind the guard and it come off.....it has worn away and passed over the bolt holding it on.....managed to bodge that back together....

cleaned around a bit but not much...anyways...went to shut the boot and it wouldn't properly, it was catching on the latch..fiddled around with bolts but its still doing it...it shuts but not as well as it did..

at the moment...i hate myself and my car.....

yep, why are things you think are going to be simple, never that way?? i tried fitting morrette headlights myself, it turned into a 4 day mission, involving getting 3 different mates round to help me!!

i blame the french designers.............

I would have left it alone TBH, cleaning it is not likely to affect its running in any way. Its an engine, they get dirty, leave it alone :D

forget to mention, my DIY efforts will also require a trip to the bodyshop to tidy up my mess. jobs are meant to be free when you do them yourself!!!

Lol, never knew you were struggling that much m8:(.
I remember when my bro hit a deer and mashed the rad, I had to take the bonnet off and unbolted the cross member, and the bonnet slipped out my hand, swung round, denting it and cracking the paint on the front! Was so mad at myself:mad:. I've been forever tinkering with bits and bobs, stopping the engine overheating with different rad etc. Must have had the bumper off 100 times. Wonder why I bother sometimes. All is well now though with brand new and sprayed bonnet, with re-sprayed front bumper:D. I tried to re-spray the orginal bumper, but could not get the laquor to look right:clown:. Best left to the experts!

well for an update i went back out this afternoon...i managed to move the bonnet and rebolt it so it now open and closes fine again...

the only thing now is the marks on the bonnet and bumper...both aren't to bad as i have touched them up but i still know there there.

oh then noticed tonight after going to halfrauds this morn that i had a bulb gone..so had to go back down again ffs
