MOT CS sticker?

My car failed its MOT a few days ago
Emmisions(think its the CAT)
Rear Suspension(Somethigns f**ked)
Wipers(wipers dont return to correct position)
Sticker in the rear windoweek: )

thats where i thought what the f**k?!

can it fail its MOT cause of a sticker in the back window?
Mines located in the bottom right of the rear window

stickers is prob "in the swept area" my sucker for my road angle failed me on the swept area point

Oh dear, thats not good, I expect mine may fail then as I ve got an Evo and a CS sticker on the rear window, good job the MOT isn't till September!

I think you've been had on the rear window sticker.
The impairment of vision within the wiper sweep only applies to the front screen.

I wonder what they would do with this van.

i grown out of sunstrips hehe.....only one i'd have is a black one or one of those faded ones

Does that mean I'll have to put my headrests down for my MOT as I can't see my CS sticker even though it is in the same place as yours matey as my headrests block it out....

mine was in the front. so maybe woth looking into.

take the rear wiper off iirc you dont have to have one, but if its there it has to work and there has to be nothing in the swept area

Tbh where as there's other things wrong with it too, they probs just added the sticker to the list (even though what Brian said is correct)

and i just been out n looked at the rear wiper and its at least 2cm away from the sticker.....the tax disc holder is in the sweep area but if i worked it out right it will b on either side of the car

my garage is quite reliable usually...he does add windscreen washer on sometimes to see if i notice but thats about it lol

Yeah rear screen wiper is the same as spare wheel, if its there it has to be fine. If not there then it doesn't matter.

nope cant fail at all as you can do what you like to rear side windows and rear as in fill it with metal if you want like a van

rear wipers aren't covered on the m.o.t ????
mine didn't work , so i bought a new one , then was told its not required :S

Do you have a back box on the car? Or is it a silly cover over the exhaust?

*Would have failed due to a shock on its way out, replace it yourself after jacking car up. 30minutes max to fix*

*Currently my wipers dont have an intermitant and it takes sometimes a while to return them to the parked position. Didnt fail my last MOT on them*

Sticker
*Mine is the same model of clio, mk1. So if they fail it on that, then well, you need a new mot station*


My advice - Take it somewhere else after changing the exhaust back to standard to pass MOT. Then replace shock.

its a cat back exhaust from ashley competition...i was told this by POTN"The Exhaust will not be the problem it could be the Cat, fueling or a sensor, please get the car checked by a garage."
...the cat hasn't ever been changed in its life from what the full history says...
i cant remember what the suspension problem was but i was told its an easy fix.
the wipers is my fault and the 5 inches of snow on the car months ago.... i turnned the engine one to warm the car up while i cleared the snow and i left the wipers on from the day before and the wipers didnt move the snow and it messed the motor up.
as for the sticker...well i'll ask next time i go down there...

Sticker in the rear window, IS NOT a failable item.
Only reason it would fail is if it was in the swept area of the front sceen.

rear wipers/ screen not tested on mot, niether are things like reverse lights and front fog lights. you dont even need a rear view mirror as long as u have two door mirrors. There probably having a laugh.

I wouldn't just fit a new cat (thats what amaturers do) it maybe the cat but it could just as likely be a number of other things. Get it checked instead of throwing parts at it. Ive know some garages fit a cat and lambda sensor first, retest it then find out it was a loose wire somewhere else. (find a good garage)
