bought a piper x induction kit for £40 today and i would SWEAR the cars faster with it on in comparison with the piper x panel i normally have on,
and definatly from 80 + it seems to pull much stronger.

I was under the assumption that the kits lose power and torque??
And it sounds fab over 5000 rpm!

And its not physiological

Once you get going it should be getting some good airflow into the engine bay, so it should perform better. I must admit, with the K&N on my Valver (with two cold airfeeds and a stainless steel heatshield) it pulls much better than the Viper that was on previously AND it sounds awesome. So I'm in agreement with you.

I love the sound, but summer is coming, so standard will be back on with ITG.

It just sounds faster.

i love my kn to much to care about whether it performs better or not the noise above 5k is worth some minimal losses!!!!!

its just the noise that makes it seem faster.
