Multi external HDD connections?

  ITB BG 182
Can some one possibly help out?

So far I have 2x1tb 1x2tb HDD's but also some SSD aswell.

Now the TB drives are all connections via USB 1.0 or 2.0, is there anyway I might be able to stip them down and put them in a housing that shares an ethernet connection for faster transfers over my network rather than waiting 6 hours to back up one computer?

Would I be able to take the casings from the other drives and just put the part in to it and it will work fine?

If they're external drives you will have to take them out of the casings, this will void warranties if you have any, and on some drives maybe difficult (never done it so no idea), I imagine it's straight forward but haven't tried it!

:) It's an extremely good price atm! If i didn't have an atom-based fileserver already I'd snap them up!

thats the thing i've got a 4TB atom nas pc lol but is only cappable of taking 2 drive with the small case it's in

warranty could still be intact with some manufactures. with my WD external drive i transferred in to an internal so save space on the desktop, it failed but the part number to use was the actual HD serial rather than the case etc
