Rory whats the leather filler you used? I quite fancy giving it a bash, the interior really is the only sign its a used car :(

Is it worth it?

I can't remember the name, its at my folks, not sure how long it lasts. Is the leather black in yours? Could try some of mine see what the results are like, clean and feed the leather first though.

Looks lovely that mate! Get a nice 4-2-1 mani, BMC filter and a pugsport and you'll be laughing aswell as subtle 40mm drop all round = perfect :)

The full exhaust system is appealing as they add reasonable gains :)

I would love camshafts for it as it can make them 1*2 quick with a few other choice mods (so i hear anyway :))

I've never heard of any major problems with them and they are piss easy to work on.

Keep on top of the suspension tho, bushes and rear beam ect...

God I miss that silver on I had! Hated the colour but what a fun car.

Suprisingly more fun than the zs mate, same idea, small, light and nimble, cheap!

You cant spend too much money on it, its only a stop gap! ;)

Well for what i paid for it i could have had a stage 1 put on a Corsa VXR, not that im thinking of getting one next year or anything

No problems thus far mate not even a rattle or squeak, so touch wood it stays faithfull to that...

My only tine moan is that the brakes on these arent matched to the engine at all, i suppose its nothing that could be put right for not alot of money but caution is advised

Very nice Danny i had one in blue before going back to the 172

Cheers matey, pound for pound its cheap fun

its fun but i still miss my Phase 1 so much :(

I can imagine mate, I love my ZS but it just lacks power.

Ok for doing over 1k miles a month though?

FAO the brakes, if they're anything like the saxo vtr ones I would plan on uprating straight away!

Its perfect for a daily commute mate it doesnt guzzle petrol like a 172 when you seriously kick its hole in as much as it loves to be revved...

how you liking it compared to the ph1 danny now uve had it a bit?

Believe it or not ive only just insured it this morning as i wanted to pay it off in full so its been sitting pretty at my dads for the past 2 weeks lol...

Only really played with it this afternoon briefly Sarah

I think this thursdays meet with the scottish boys and girls will give it a good run out :)

Enjoying it thus far but i still miss/prefer my Phase 1, to short lived an ownership i think :(

Canny mind if you said...Why not another Renaultsport??

Insurance was pretty mental Ali, i was paying £1000 last year and it was gonna go up to about 1500 if i got another 7-8 year old Phase 1.

The 106 will do for now until i sort myself out financially :)

Yeah was a great little car till i broke it lol The only thing i did not like was the brakes that were cr*p but then that might just have been my one ???

Nah your spot on the brakes are rubbish on them and are definatley not matched to the engine :(
