My 172 Cup....

Hi I'm Adam and this is my new car....

I picked it up from South Wales today and drove it the 220 miles home. They were a GOOD 220 miles!

After a LONG TIME searching I found this little Stunner.

She's getting a new Cam Belt next week for good measure and a detail/winter jacket next week.

I've got a long history with French Car's and after a year out it's great to be back

What do you reckon?

Hi again,

Nothing massive to report. Since buying it in October I've just been cleaning it and maintaining it. It's a real nice example and I intend to keep it that way.

I'm getting the bug though

This week I've brought the Dogbone Gearbox mount to tighten things up. I'll get that fitted when it goes in for it's 6k oil change.

I'm currently in talks with Dan from 519 about a Cambelt change. I'll hopefully get my rear discs/pads done too which was the only advise in it's MOT.

The exhaust is blowing like fcuk at the minute too. I'm looking at a K-Tec Cat-Back to replace the dying standard system.

Spent a fair while cleaning it today.....

I've noticed there's quite a few users on here from the West Yorkshire area too. If any of you guys know any well priced local garages then let me know.

Looks great, if you're after a standard sounding system with a tiny bit of grunt have a look at the BTB Stealth system, very well made. I would highly recommend it over the K-tec stealth unless you can find one cheap.

Cheers, I was looking at the BTB the other day but I'm on a bit of a budget so that's why I'm swaying toward the K-Tec.

We'll see what comes up.

£300 for a new Supersport which isn't quiet at all, at least not with a de-cat like I used to have, I can't imagine its miles quieter with a cat still in. Id save for a BTB tbh if your after a subtle system.

This weekend I'll finally get round to fitting my new Discs and Pads all round and give it a good bleed. Also gonna fit my Powerflex Dogbone mounts.

I'm sure they'll be pics....

Fitted new Rear Discs and Pads this weekend; along with Powerflex Dogbone bushes (V V Easy btw) and my new 520 x 90 plate. Much tigher to drive and the plate is a nice touch....

When fitted my rear discs/pads I noticed one of the rear struts was leaking a bit so it'll be the best part of £100 for a new pair.

Still looking for a decent exhaust to replace my dying/dead standard one. Nothing lairy though.

Also still needs the Cambelt doing which now HAS to be a priority....

I had the Ktec (stealth) on mine, loved it tbh. Loads of vids on YouTube (including mine) for example.

Got it detailed today. I've taken 4 of my previous cars to a mate of mine who has all the gear and does detailing on the side.

It's been 6ish months since I last took it to him and I like to get it done as often as I can. Seeing as it's Summer prep time the DoDo Juice came out....

Order of the day was....

- Rinse + Wheels (inside and out)
- Foamed
- Rinse
- 2-Bucket Method w/ Mitt
- Rinse
- Dried
- 2 passes with 3M Ultrafina all over (Rotary)
- Foamed + Mitt
- Dried
- 2 x coats of DoDo Juice Blue Velvet (aka GODSPUNK)
