Got my members pack through this week hence the new decal/tax disc holder.

I'm booked in @ 519 on April 26th for both belts doing.

After that the rear shocks need doing.

Then that's it. OEM all the way.

Looks great!!

Im in brighouse/halifax and every now and again have head to elland so if you see another cup (cliosport sticker in back window) it could well be me
 
Nice mate, do you actually live in Elland? Because I'm sure i've seen your motor around here, might be mistaken though..

Cool I'll keep an eye out. There's one Cup in particular I see locally all the time but I don't think he's on here.

Yes mate I live in Elland. I'm not normally up near Garforth. I'm up and down the A1/M to Wetherby everyday though.

I'm off to Dan @ 519 on Tuesday morning for new belts.

I spoke to him the other day about whipping the TB off at the same time so I can give it a clean (may as well seeing as I have a few hours to kill).

Really nice bloke.

Updates on Tuesday.
 
I was reading through the 'iphone pictures' thread the other day and got hold of that 'Camera+' app.

Very impressed!

I've just been over the car as I've got a 260 mile drive back down south later. I took a pic and added full 'HDR' and a 'Grit' boarder....

Update....

Today I was booked in at 519 Automotive for Cam/Aux belts doing. After driving through Coulsden a few times I finally spotted a loan MK1 and figured that was the place! Indeed it was. Danny is a top bloke and a real pro. Within 3 hours I was all done and ready to go! Much to my girlfriends delight....:P

While is was in bits I took the time to clean the Throttle Body. There was a fair bit of Grease/Crap built up after 68k but nothing more than normal. Kerosene and a Brush sorted that out.

I also couldn't resist a PiperX Panel Filter on the shelf either....:P

Oh and if that wasn't enough to keep me busy....perving at the projects he's got going on was awesome....oh and the bits he just had 'lying around' were incredible! Matched inlets and Trumpets....Mmmmm....

The now starts/runs/goes like a new car and feels much less 'Strangled' with the TB clean and a uprated filter.

It's 'Blue Velvet' and was applied by hand after a full-correction. Cheers mate.

I don't remember! I was parked opposite another Cup and saw a Black 182 and a Green ph1 but I don't remember yours! Cheers for the comment.
 
FCS Prep....

My 'man-that-can' as far as detailing is concerned is away all next week so I went over last night for some FCS prep.

Top of the list was Headlight correction. Within 30 mins and with the help of a Rotary and various lotions and potions both were CRYSTAL clear. Ever since I've had the car the o/s Headlight has always had horrible marring on the top surface. Now they both look brand new and it really does transform the front end.

Other than that we gave it a basic wash (rinse/foam(inc. bay)/rinse/mitt/dwell/rinse/dry) and lime-primed it before its 5th coat of Blue Velvet this year.

On the day itself it should just need QD'ing and the wheels going over.

Not long now....!

looks great. however i would get some silvervision indicator bulbs for the front. love cups, looks a mint example. i will have another one of these.
 
Well I'm ready for the off now!

After the detail last week all it really needed was a good wash and a QD'ing to bring the DoDo juice out.

Nothing was left untouched today though, and tomorrow It should just need QD'ing and the wheels/tyres re-dressing.
