My 172 makes a "whooshing" noise

I recently had my 172 serviced with the exhaust replaced cus the blimmin thing fell off! Since then when i boot it, it begins to make a whooshing noise, (a bit like how a turbo sounds) after about 3500rpm. Can any body tell me why its making this noise please?

Also was i ripped off? i payed £1200 for a new exhaust system, a new rear calliper, 4 new discs and 4 new pads.. also includes the service price

The £1200 included brake discs, pads and a service.


Still pretty pricey though!

Sounds like they haven't sealed the exhaust joints properly.

Still sounds dear...Front disks are 59£. Pads 40£ Rear disks a bit more, closer to 200 iirc and i'd never buy a std zorst for a 172 off reno - It's a licence to print money.

That and the fact it'll probably fall off again.
