My 172 pics

Finally got a couple of pics of my 172 that I've had a couple of weeks now. Quality's not great as had to use my phone

Picked it up from the bodyshop this morning after having had a little scuff sprayed. Whilst it was in I got them to fit my Ktec carbon bonnet and splitter.

Already planning on some dark rims although undecided whether going Turini root or others. Needs new brakes and would like to sort the suspension as well. Have swapped the rear lights as I think the dark lenses go better with the dark bonnet and alloys that I'm planning.

car looks nice mate. no a fan of the lights though. slammed on dark rims will look sexy. search for chausters car on here for inspiration.

Like it mate, quite like the carbon bonnet. Dark wheels will go well with it, although id put back on the standard rear lights.

Oh and do i even want to know what the hell is goin on with that guy in the last pic?

I thought people on here wouldn't like the lights as non OEM but everyone who has seen them in person rates them. I think with the darker rims and some light tints on the windows will finish it off nicely. If you look closely you might be able to see that it's running silvervisions all round though to keep everyone happy

The guy in the last pic? Oh didn't realise he was there when I took it. Don't worry about him. That's the gimp. He's allowed outside at weekends if it's sunny. He'll be locked up safe by nightfall so don't worry yourself.

I'll do a search for chausters. I'll be asking what's the best suspension choice to go for soon. Want to make it handle and look better but don't want to end up with it feeling like it crashes and bangs as it hits all the bumps in our crappy roads. That was what I was so impressed with on the R27 was how it is so grippy in the corners yet feels solid and smooth without feeling harsh.

I'm already prepared for loads of muppets to come out with crap like "when are you painting it?" etc.. but my mate's dad walked out the house and said how much he liked it, pointed out that he has carbon fibre inside his car then jumped into his limited edition Saab Turbo X and growled away up the road.

Sure the people at work will pass comment though!

The bonnet and splitter are from Ktec. Not a simple job fitting the bonnet though. The bodyshop was ready to smash it!

Going to have to be careful with the splitter when I sort the suspension out though. Will bring tears to my eyes if I ripped it off!
