My 182 receives a nice Review

  182, SRT8, RS4, GT-R
Hi Guys/Girls,
Just thought i'd post this up as it really made me smile!

This quote is from a guy who owns a EVO VIII MR with 300BHP.

Went to meet Dubai182 for late night tea and drive earlier. That is the absolute last time I rag on a Clio Sport 182. That damn thing is a rocket, and I swear I have never seen a FWD take corners that easily before. Stock clutch, tires and suspension. For AED50k, I'd top up another AED15k to get a lower seat, short shift kit, cams, Group N rally ECU, cat delete and brake lines, pads and fluids. Insurance is ridiculously cheap too, and despite driving that car hard, it still sips petrol.

A RWD car may be fast in the hands of an experienced pro, but I'd wager even Khalid would have a problem catching up on a short track against that FWD Clio.

It may just have over 195 whp over the front wheels, but at just 1080 kg, it's got an amazing power-to-weight and power-to-torque ratio, plus the lightweight nature of the car means less stress on the stock brakes (less fade) and superior handling.

My only complaints would be that the stock seat has a fairly high seating position (hence, get OMP racing seats), the shifter is a little bit too far front, and that the pedal travel isn't a lot (it's not really a problem, just my preference).

Otherwise, I rate Dubai182's car 8/10 for fun factor and 10/10 for value for money. If I hadn't gotten the Evo, I'd have gotten this instead and saved me AED40k.

Damn, damn, damn.

Okay,so i took him on some roads that i know like the back of my hand but i made him aware of that but he couldn't believe it,lol. Always nice to get praise from people who originally didn't believe the 182's potential.

So are 182's (or Clio's for that matter) officially on sale in Dubai or what? I remember you mentioning nobody knows what it is

195 at wheels.. 220-30ish at the fly.. what u done?!

The poor lad is getting excited,he means 195 at the fly. I've got a group N ECU,matched inlet manifold, decat. Seems pretty quick compared to a standard 182,even did well against a 220BHP clio.

Never knew you had the matched manifold and decat. Cant wait to see the difference between this and standard 182.
