My Blue and Red 197's

Dr Jekyll,

Don't mind me asking, but what colour black did you use on the rear diffuser? Looks very sharp and thinking of doing the same myself.

Your getting muddled up I think.

Its Ian (Nightrider Renault) that has the 197 in red and he's wife Suzanne that has the rb197.

I believe the diffuser is just standard Renault one with no paint. Ian will confirm
this though.

yes no paint on that diffuser and the silverlights look nice, thanks mark, had the red car serviced and 1st mot at lookers in chelmsford on friday, renaultsport specialist called mat did it seemed very good, i was a bit disappointed as he didnt even change the spark plugs at 17k miles, only oil, filter, pollen filter and adjust hand brake, pads at 50% still and gave me a written report of the cars condition which i thought was good, he also advised me not to change the springs but to leave the setup alone, so i will.

next i would like some recaros for my car and suzanne says she wants a roof scoop on hers like a cup racer, which is going to lookers for 1st mot next week but on 12k miles i doubt they will do a lot, this car has done less than 2k in the year she has had it but since the parking sensors have been painted blue they bleep all the time when reversing so renault can fix that under the warranty, poor racey blue.

Sorry Ian wrong name. Looking at some of the pictures, your diffuser looks black. I've got a LY r27 and don't like the anthracite colour on the diffuser, that's why I'm thinking of painting it black.
You ever thought of that? Or am I the only one that doesn't like it?

I sprayed mibe black, as my wheel are black and the grey didn't look right against it.

View attachment 84862View attachment 84863my red 197 was traded today for a nimbus 200 late 2011 with 1600 miles on the clock it has everything i wanted including grey leather interior with recaro seats i have swopped my panel filter, silvervision bulbs and black wheel centres from my old car to the new one. This car was on display by renault at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed this year so you may already have seen it, more pics soon.
