My car is not well - in fact it's very very poorly ;)

Last night I noticed that my automatic lights wern't working and I had to turn them on manually then this morning on my way to work the engine just cut out and nothing, the petrol light came on, oil light and battery light. Me and my dad had to push the cow all the way home an christ they are bloody heavy!! Went to the petrol station and got some petrol to see if it had run out but still nothing!!!!

Do the lights come on on the dash when you turn the Ignition on?

Does the immobiliser light stop flashing when you turn the key too?

I dont know Al but the steering was bleedin heavy anall, had a right job on turning the wheel.

When the ignition off so it the power steering, and it's electric on the Dynamiques.

It could be one of many things.

Whats happens when you turn the key do any lights come on etc? Does the imobiliser light go out? Can you heard the throttle body wirling the fule pump relays etc cutting in?

There a multible of possible problems is the AUX belt under the bonnet in one pieces it might have broken.

I had to leave it at home an get my dad to bring me into work so cant at the mo and wat do u mean by turning over?

Sounds like mine. The managment light came on cut out and would not start. I started adter 5 times and the managment light is still on.

Take it to a garage is your best option unfortunatly tryin to work out a problem like this isn't easy.

Yeah take it to reg vardy!! It's still under warrenty so no point on messing about with it when they can sort it, Probably take them about 5mins to spot the problem where as we could be there hours figuring it out!!

I remember my brother had a similar problem in his Fiat a few years back, driving along, then the engine died and just wouldn't start. It turned out the cambelt had snapped. Fortunately, no damage was done to the valve train or pistons.

Not much chance of that with the 172/182 engines though, new valves a plently be lucky to have 1 surviving valves.

Oh yeah - completely agree. My brother only had a Cinqy Sporting 1.1 8v, so not alot to damage really!
