my clio 172 headlight going yellowish at the top?

hi i got cli 172 with xenons headlamps but the outher casing of both headlamps are going yellowish andit lloks lik ethe prevoius owner tried sandign down it down.

i was told by my friend to use tooth paste???

will that work to whiten it up but im not sure.

fine sandpaper does the trick, start with a 1400 grade and work your way up there are videos on youtube on how to do it. I suppose toothpaste may work as it contains grains of sand but would take longer

Use 2000 up wet and dry paper IF you think you can get the scratches out by hand polishing. If you have a decent amount of time and some decent polish/pads, go for it. If not, ask a local detailer. I use to charge £25 to sort it as it doesn't take long with the right tools.

I've just finished doing mine as mine were looking old/hazed. I used 1500, 2000 and 2500 grade sandpaper and a lambswool buffer pad attached to a drill and some Meguiars Plast-X. They've come up looking really good!

hi where could.get the lambs wool on drill buffer? And is.meguiars plas x.similar as meguiars scratch x

The lambswool drill piece buffer I got was in a Silverline sanding/polishing kit I got from Tool Station and the Meguiars Plast-X can be found on eBay. Search for "drill buffer" on eBay and a few come up!
