My Clio 182

  107 Track Car & C4
Been on here since April when I traded in my 2006 Peugeot 407SW HDI for this 2004 Clio 182. Think I paid over the top for it abit, but it did have a very good service history and only sat on 39k miles. It already had Eibach Sportlines fitted and since then i've had a K-Tec Exhaust fitted and Carbon Front Badge along with having the belts done. Was planning to do alot more to it, but i'm now saving for a place and that's taking priority now. Anyway enough of the talking...

She now sits on just under 50k as was being used as my daily for work etc. But just got a new bike so will be cycling to work and keeping the mileage of her.

Any C&C Welcome.. :approve:

Cheers :). It gets a good clean at least once a fortnight, if not every week! Have always taken care of my cars in the 4 and abit years i've been driving.

It was up for £4800 and I swapped it for the 407, which tbh, was worth more. I could of got more privately for the 407 and found a 182 for less judging by what i've seen on the forum since i've been a member. But it was low mileage I suppose.

How much did you pay for yours?

Doesn't matter what you paid as long as you're happy :)

Also prices vary massively. Belts done or not is literally worth £500. Optional Recaros would add a fair whack I'd imagine (if the seller realises their 2nd hand value of course!) Depending on how much of a knobhead the dealer is add anything from £0 to literally £1000 over what it's worth. Cup packs or certain colours can be worth a few hundred. Prices nigh on double between the north & south. Places like Ireland & scotland also seem to see much higher prices as RS Clios are considered "rare" in those places, apparantly.

Then there is ebay/this forum. Being an enthusiast car club a lot of us tend to think our car is worth a bit (or alot!) more than it is. Comparing parts is almost funny: there are breakers on here that'll tell you your turinis are only worth £300 and you're an idiot, likewise there are ebay sellers that stick broken tilt mechanism & scratched-bolster'd trendlines up for £850.

Having said that comparing is generally useless, being on the south coast Dorset & Sussex wouldn't be the worst comparison. be comparable as they're both South Coast (obviously) prices according to certain members on this forum vary massively. It's all very well someone up north telling me my car was a rip off because he got a decent 182 for £2150, but try finding a mint 172 for anywhere near 3k on the south coast!

True :)

I am happy with it, but I do miss the 407 I before tbh. It was a barge and not the kind of car you'd associated with someone my age (21), I actually brought the Pug when I was still 19!
