My Flamer on V-Maxx Coilovers (56k suicide).

  A Flamin' Red one
looks superb mate , always been one of my fave 172s on here

Thanks Paul. Always appreciated :) .

Have to say that looks stunning, will have to show my mate who has a totally standard Flamer (bar a stealth exhaust).

Subtle and sexy!!!

I'm flattered! I saw a mint standard Flamer the other week. Looked so tidy.

that first pic is awesome! colour is soooo nice :)

Thanks. The thing I love is how the colour seems to change in the sun and shade.

Also is that a personalised plate or have you done some sort of major ph1 to ph2 conversion?

It's a first run of the PH2 - hence the Y plate. There are a few knocking about on here. They ended the PH1 and began the PH2 in the same year. Picked mine up with only 54k on the clock.

Looks smart, i like a lot. I would wind the front down another 10mm, but bye bye expensive splitter...

get a cup spoiler and will complete imo

I was looking at the car today funnily enough and decided I'd wind it down some more. May have a trial run with some local speedbumps this weekend... Gulp!

Cup spoiler though - Black or Flame Red?

 how clean! Looks fantastic though :approve: I'd have a flamer, or blue car next. Would look good with a Cup spoiler in Flame, that would add the finishing touch, IMO!

job well done mate, looks immaculate :)

Do you still have adjusters in the rear?

I did half of mine today (only the rears) and my rear is a lot higher than yours and they are wound all the way on the rear :(

Adjusters are still in, yeah.

Not too sure on this one other than waiting for the springs to settle. It just so happened that I went away for the weekend and was mostly five-up. Before I went away I had 10mm spacers on the rear. Took them out as the tyres scuffed the arches with just one friend in the back. Now I'd not be able to fit them with no weight in the back at all - they've settled that much.

Nice one!

But err. how does she ride?
After the suspension tweaking?

Fantastically in my opinion. A dramatic improvement over my Apex srpings fo' sho' :dead: .

Il chuck some heavy s**t in the back for a few days :) ... You can see what I mean in a thread I have in the suspension forum...can easily fit my whole hand under there where before on the old ones they were lower. Oh well il just wait and see!

I've just had a look mate - the height is so different to mine when wound down.

Have a look in our V-Maxx GB thread. I posted a picture of the car having had them just fitted and before the springs compressed.

Look but don't touch! Touch but don't taste!! Taste but don't swallow!!!
haha

You'd better touch another knob. O'behave!!!

But serious, the chasis must be mega-stiff by now, Cupracer like...
No bodyroll at all.

It's certainly a different car but Cup Racer like? Non. A few thousand quid away from that fella'!
