My MPG is shocking :( Help please

Hey guys,

My MPG is NEVER over 26MPG

I just tested it out on the motorway

Drove 10/12 miles at 60mph = 24.8 MPG
Drove 10/12 miles at 90mph = 24.9 MPH

What gives? :dapprove:

ive got a itg filter,stainless exhaust with de cat and ive rs tuned it and i get 35-37 mpg!

lol no....I thought the MPG reader automatically changes itself? How do I reset it? Car is a 182 Sport FF

it does, but it will be the average over a certain period of miles, so you need reset it to get one for your actual miles you are doing!

also if you are fraping it everywhere, 26-28 sounds about right tbh!

MPG reader is an average since you last reset it.

Work it out properly on pen and paper.

The trip will average the MPG for the entire time since the last reset.

To reset it, click on the end of the stalk until the MPG is displayed. Then push on the 'knob thing' in the actual dials themselves, that will reset it. Then go on the motorway at about 60mph, you should get it over 40mpg after a while.

select through using the stick until you are on it, then pressed the reset button on the dash! (the big thing sticking out)

Always wonder how people survive when they can't figure stuff out like this, it's the same on 99.9% of cars IIRC.

Work it out properly is best way over an entire tank using good old pen and paper.

When i got mine i thought, hmmm when i press the millage trip reset button, it probably resets the other things lol.

resetting did the trick! I'm such a spaz. Just got over 40MPG doing 50mph on the motorway

Iv had 42,3 at 80mph on mine, thought I was seeing things so I reset it an got 42,2, woo hoo lol

I've got an app on my iPhone works it all out,
Over last 11,615 miles i've averaged 31.86

Highest over a tank was 37.01
Lowest was 18 .

It's called road trip, just get the lite, i paid for the full but don't see the point.
