My new 172 with a few questions

Evening all, been a member on here for ages (hardly posted though) and bought superfastdan's ph1 172 on Friday.

Loving it to bits so far!

Few little things though.

The rear strut brace squeeks like a biatch, and will probably get really really annoying. How in earth can I stop it squeeking, Dan said something about Vasaline?

Dan threw in the Cup splitter that was in his garage. How do you fit these?

Also got a front strut brace, but Dan didn't want to fit as his alarm will get in the way. I think there's a way past the alarm, so was wondering how you fit these? It's an OMP adjustable one, with 2 holes each end. I expected to see these holes in the suspension turretts (is that what they are called?), but there isn't. Is it just a case of drilling through these, and bolting either side of the metal?

I haven't had a proper chance to fiddle around the car yet. I only picked it up on Friday, and since then it's been pissing wet/dark!

I agree, can't beat a good squeek! But this one is the worst squeek, ever!

Dan was pretty sure that is what caused it. Haven't tested it without, but i'm pretty sure it is.

Oh, another thing. Dan disconnected the fog lights. He did say how to reconnect them, but I wasn't really listenening. Any ideas how to reconnect them? I think he removed the wire about half way up the bumper, towards the passenger side?

Rear strut brace has no advantage so unless you want it for looks get rid of it.

Cup splitter need to drill holes in the bumper put it up and you'll see where the holes need to be.

I'd personally sell it there worth a fortune.

The holes arn't on the suspension turrets you have to drill them and then idealy paint them to stop rust and use some proper good sized bolts to hold it in place.

strutbraces dont have a mojor advantage, some people say they are dangerous as they take out all the flex in the shell

Where did you say the fog light wires were? I was too cold to listen!

Oh, and can you sort out my warranty.

he proberly discconected the front fogs on the n/s of the bumper there is a connector block for both lights
