Theres only about 60 odd of these right? If your old ph1 was anything to go by, sure it'll stay mint for a long time!

Cheers dudes, there were 90 of these registered in the UK. Since they were made in Autumn (ish) of 2003, there's been 5 winters for the annual Cup-cull to take place... so there's probably about 60 left!

Cheers mini, I most certainly do intend to keep her clean and tidy... starting with a mission session on Saturday, weather dependant!

Been away fella , just noticed. Congrats. Looks so much better in the other thread now you have given it some tlc.

Welcome back chap.

How does it feel compared to the ph 1?

Hi mate, cheers, I'm loving being back in Clio ownership!

Don't know how your ph2 fares against the ph1 but I think they're very different beasts to drive. The Cup feels like it's not been given a particularly hard life, so is nice and tight, but feels really planted and solid. It doesn't feel as quick lower down the revs, due to the fly by wire I guess, but there's a much more noticable 5k kick than the ph1 ever had.

The ph1 felt much rawer than the Cup and quicker at low revs, but all hell didn't break loose at 5k... with the Cup it does!

Overall, I do miss the ph1, but the Cup just feels 'better'. I do miss air con, but the seats, abs, etc I've not even noticed. The cloth seats are actually quite nice and simple, and don't show wear anything like the leather and alcantara do!

Has absolutely nothing to do with FBW lol

Thanks for the input... I did say 'I guess'.

I was always under the impression that the throttle response on FBW was that little big slower than cable...? Do you have any ideas why it might feel more controlled at lower revs?
