well happy with them! :D the ride is not harsh at all, obviously its a bit firmer and you can feel bumps a little more, but there great!

they were only put on today, so they need to settle in more ad will go a bit lower!:approve:

£90 job done.

what you using? lowering springs only? if so how much of a drop?

ive got mine on -40mm apex, incidently, i had mine on before i found this site, seems ive made a good choice as lots of people here seem to use Apex

40mm i take it! That is fantastic and they must be new if it cost you £90 so like u said they got to go lower yet! it makes me wanna lower mine if it only costs that for the amazin results. But what worries me is renault will have spent 1000's of pounds if not more on developing the springs in the first place, and therefore spending £90 seems nothing! therefore how is the handling now? better or worse?

Also are their any other springs that lower any futher for the 172, before you go into coilovers. If so what are these and how do these affect handling? Cheers!

yup -40mm apex.. and new.

bodyroll is seriously reduced!! handling is very good, much better than standard...ride as i said not bad at all! :D

good springs all in all!

Cheers Ted182 :) think its gonna be apex -40mm very soon then unless i can go a little further for the same results!

for £90 Ted, ive been had, think it cost me £75 for the springs and then it was £60 for fitting, cant really comment on the ride quality as i only had the car 2 days before putting the springs on, but it doesnt handle well in the wet, dunno if thats due to springs as it was summer when they were fitted

mines looks lower as i had 70kg of scrap metal in the boot, untill my boss asked me what i was doing with the scrap parts i had made on the nightshift that is:mad: , now though, my back wheel no longer sits under the arch which is disapointing:dapprove:

thats good, im hoping to get apex for mine soon and i was really worried about the ride!
Im glad there better and not to rough!

  Inferno 182 w/ Recaros ;)
Looks good, I wouldn't put springs on mine as I heard that it has a detrimental effect on the dampers.

They dont look that high to me until you see a lowered one, then it really hits you.

Looking good.

brad get them mate, the ride maybe different on your 172 though(different dampers set up etc)

  Weeman sucks ****
Nice one buddy, glad Tom sorted you out he's a top bloke. They will settle a bit more after about 200 miles or so. I'd get your tracking checked after that too just to be sure.

Happy driving in the lower hemisphere;)
