My Ph1 172 Flamer Project

  Ph1 172
I have been looking on this site for a while now, found it very useful, so thought i'd stop being a tight a$$ and pay membership.

Here she is when i bought her last august, 100% standard with 46k and the clear repeaters i added

I was going to keep this standard, but the bug is still there so.....

From looking around I wanted to stay subtle, my original thoughts where Ph2 172 wheels as they were cheaper, but I stumbled across some Trophy Turinis and couldnt resist. Also added some Mk2 rear lights.

Wanted a smother look so all the mouldings and handles had to be colour coded also. Also changed to a smaller aerial, and added silver bulbs in the rear and osram in the front.

Got fed up of the wheel too, so that was changed, also added a cheeky set of HIDs and some lowering springs, and not forgetting the megne splitter.

Not many decent photos available, most on my camera phone and are awful.

Here she was up until about a month ago, nice and clean

Latest mod came in the shape of a Ph2 Rear bumper, had the strip colour coded too.

I have since changed the side badges slightly, keeping the black background with flame red lettering, will post some pics when i get some.

Think thats everything, cheers.

Thanks for the comments guys. The whole aerial was about £5 including the fixing.

A meet would be good, not that many flame red ph1s about.

I'll get another pic of the rear up soon, needs a clean again, dust everywhere!

  Monaco 37/468
I was thinking of doing the rear bumper insert in monaco blue. Is it easy to get out? Obviously it would need sanding down?

  Ph1 172
The insert just pops out, I think it was sanded and then filler-primer was used, not sure though as I didn't spray it myself

Thanks again for the comments :D

Yeah it does look a bit like a ph1 of flamer ste's car.
What splitter is that? Doesn't quite work.

looks great on the turinis.. I probably would of left the plastic strip in the rear bumper black to break the colour up a bit :)

Cheers for the posts

I know the megane splitter is not to everyones taste. I like it though, and it cost £3 from a scrappy, I cant justify the money for a K-tec or Cup splitter as its only gonna get caught on bumps etc

As for the back bumper, I had it all colour coded, to match the side strips, If they were black then I'd have left it.

Thanks again
