well had the car for nearly 6 months now and been doing a few things slowly so thought id better start a project thread seen as im getting it ready for a few track days

well got the car bog standard, too me all of 3 days before i ordered my coilovers
well this is it the day i got it

then fitted my coilovers at work one night. after reading a few post on here i went for gaz, now i know some people dont like them but ive had no problems so far and i quite like the ride to be honest.

didnt do alot after that bar from paint my wheel badges as they were racing bue which looked sooo chav lol, just kept it clean

well after my session on the track i decide that new front pads were needed asap lol as i already had drilled and grooved disks that were only 500miles old i went and ordered some pads.

whipped the wheels off and got them stuck in

as you can see old pads looked and smelt fucked lol

new pads in

overall they are loads better than the old ones, much more sharper from the off

also seen as i had an old spare inlet i decided to have a go a porting myself and to be honest didnt turn out too bad but im sure someone will have something to say about it lol

took my old one off and got my new one on

overall it feels as if it revs more freely but im not holding out on much lol

well ive booked the renault sport track day in august so should be a few more updated soon

cant decide what wheels to go for? 15's or 16's??

i can get part worn yoko track day tyres for a bout 20quid each but i dont know whether to just get 15's to buy some brand new 888's

also still cant decide what exhaust to get seen as my standard on is due to drop off anytime soon lol

bit of an update

picked up my new wheels on sat went to work and fitted my parada's ready for the 11th then put them on

i quite like them lol

well got the week off so decided id better jake the car up and give it a check over and a bit of a service

jacked it up and wiped the wheels off

droppped the oil and changed the filter.

then set bout changing my alt belt, so took the front bumper off as it was just easier

specialist tool for the tensioner lol

old belt looked a bit crap to say the least

new belt was a bit tight going on but just wound it on the crank pulley

built it back and topped the oil up then gave it a bit of a clean then back on the floor

work at kingway tyres as an mot tester

will be raising it up a bit for my track day as it scrubs sightly on the back as the turbine offset is different to my standard wheels

oh and im at cadwell on the 11th not bedford. tempted to go to the raf marham one too as its my bday weekend and would be a nice treat lol

yeh i wasnt a fan of the stickers on the side when i got it but they have grown on me. they do look better in the flesh i will say tho

Nice work mate, you have spent alot of hours and hard work into that and it looks good. I prefered the look when you had your standard 182 alloys on but still mate good job.

O yeah and did you get your side Renault Sport decals that are in black from ebay mate? Becuase I am thinking of getting them in white.

well thought id better update a bit. not done alot to the car just my day at cadwell on the renault sport day

had the day off before so gave the car a quick clean/polish

then changed over to my track wheels

stripped the back out a little to

all done

well got up early to get the car loaded

thats way too early for my lol

all loaded up

took my house mate with me to split the cost etc, plus hes probably a better driver than me anyway ha ha not that im crap mind

had a great day only a few slight problems

was very impressed with the brakes didnt fade once and yes they got abused lol hence why i now have cream front wheels as the paint on the baked lol

cv boot clip broke on my last run which was an easy fix at work. had a nice view of the 197 that crashed, he must have passed me 2 corners before and came round charlies 2 to find him on the side. hope all was ok tho

now saving some money to do cadwell again

he passed me going round coppies i was on a cool down lap going slow, came round charlies and he was on the left on his side so happened just infront of me

track wheels are old 16v clio turbines, got them off a lad off here and just stuck my tyres on. need a repaint now tho cant decide what colour tho
