My Renault Clio Mk3 Non Sport Progress 1.2

I purchased a Renault Clio 1.2 (75) dynamique in January 2012. This was my first car and i thought seen as though its a 58 plate with only 23000 miles on I would keep it for a few years. I knew what i wanted to do seen at though i was 17 when passing my test to the car.

Here's how it looked standard.

i was just going to keep it like this until i started searching and seeing the car i had done up so the first i wanted to was get black wheels, the first thing i did was get a kenwood head-unit, JVC front speakers and Fli sub.

as i passed my test later on i wanted to at least do my car up because USC at Santa pod was approaching so i bought tints but could only do the side 2 myself

after going to USC i decided i was going to my car up alot more so the first thing i did was buy a stubby ariel and bought some team heko wind deflecters:rasp:

i then went on and painted my callipers all black instead of the rust

i then was searching for black wheels but my sub-woofer blew up so i took it back and they replaced it so i thought to make the boot and lights alot better and bought blue ones.

after this i found some wheels which was on gumtree up for £380 they was team dynamics 17" wheels with Yokohama prada spec 2 so i rang the guy up and baffled him down to buying them for £220 and picked them up that day in bury. then this is how it sat for a very long time:

after about having these for a month i got hit by another car at 30mph in the back which also messed the front end up and my insurance company give me this:

i had it for at least a month

A few weeks later it snowed and this happened :dapprove:

379355_10151396180285630_1277604572_n.jpg

i was then getting laughed at about how high my car was so i went all out and bought some AP coil-overs for £430
65553_10151451356485630_1947865294_n.jpg

but i didn't know how to fit them but my friend did so i had to wait for him to do it he first did the back of the car

it sat like this for a while as he went on holiday so i decided to spend more and buy HIDS h7 8k but when i come to do it the gay to do it was that small it was impossible so i i had to take the bumper off and physically take the light out:(

i then realised the black wheels was kind of chavy so i sold them for £200 only loosing £20 but using a full set of tyres, so i decided to leave the standard ones on which my car went lower and my mate came home and wanted to the front which we did.

i waited it too settle and the car went lower:p and also bought a different grill.

i then started to see more euro cars about and i feel in love and thats what i wanted to do make my car euro!
so i bought yellow tint and a yellow LUKE tow strap

my car sat like this for another good few weeks, looking at split rims quite cheap but couldn't find them anywhere so i was going to leave it went to Buxton and took this picture:rasp::

people then started to say how nice it was instead of chavy etc then one day i saw a eBay listing for some lenso BSX's and thought im definitely buying them and i did i wont them for £400 with slightly stretched tyres!
7371_10151537742940630_632335779_n.jpg

my car went even lower and sat like this
180997_10151540690555630_1015651251_n.jpg

i was so pleased with how it looked and the stares people give you was untrue
486387_10151539554090630_562152226_n.jpg

and today my car sits like this:

other mods I haven't mentioned are the de-badge of the boot lid that was the easiest mod ever haha and the carbon fibre look badges on the front and back badges and i have also took my tints out:cool:, i was thinking about sticker bombing the wing and smoothing but it costs so much:( i also have the 1.2 turbo spoiler which needs to be fitted! and i definitely want lower at the back can still see arch gay and 100% camber on the back!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my project thread. If you think i should do anything else please tell me:)

Nice car mate, do you have custom springs on the rear as my ap coilovers don't go that low on the back? (I don't dare go any lower anyway. I've already lost my plastic tray under the engine somewhere. No idea how you manage lol.

Didn't think I would like your current alloys but they actually look sick on the car.

I have the same car :)

Be careful that you don't get pulled over by the police for having HID's in your reflector headlamps and check out my project thread :)

Kiefer23 cheers mate been past loads of police and never been pulled haha there 8k and someone said there legal to me at a car meet, no there normal springs i got i want custom though haha i scrape loads though i always hit the cat on the exhaust and sump

  Mk3 1.4 Dynamique
The fact they're 8k makes no difference, regardless of what kit you buy they should only be installed into projector headlamps, not reflective, without wanting to be a bore it is actually quite dangerous as it dazzles oncoming traffic, also without washer jets I doubt it'll go through an MOT?

Otherwise I quite like it mate :) never been a massive fan of those wheels to be honest, but overall it's a nice car! :)

  Clio DCi 100
I quite like the wheels tbh, i never used to like those kind but they have grown on me a bit. Car looks nice mate :)

  Mk3 P1 dymanique 16v
Nice work pal i wish i could go lower just cant justifiy making my own extra thread or cheddar on custom springs front n back lol

I was about to explain the same but you summed it up!

You can buy the Pojector headlights James from the upper market mk3's. Personally I think they look miles better then the reflector headlights we have and once I've got my passenger side projector I'll be installing HID's too :)

  Titanium 182
That's lovely! It definitely didn't start well though :rasp:

What's going on with the front wheel here?!? Haha

Thanks and what happened was I went round a bend about 10mph and started to glide across the ice into a Kurb and it snapped my wishbone and that and the wheel was just hanging on, makes me feel sick every time I see it haha only cost 175 though to be fixed:)

Where'd you get the tint for the fog lights from? Seen loads of films that you put over the top of the light but they are a b*****d to fit without taking off the whole front bumper..

well i got it off ebay the film for about 6 quid, while the bumper was off i did it then and took the whole fog out, i have seen some yellow lights which you can buy but i dont know what they are like

  MK3 Clio
sweet car man, thanks for the help in the build too.
is it straight forward to remove the bumper? - want to get grill, hid's and tints done in one go.

yes mate is easy, mud guards behind the wheels take them out and there should be a bolt either side, the 4 at the top of the bumper underneath the bonnet and i think there was 2 underneath:) can do the grill without taking bumper off, the hids you have to take the light fully out and tint is easier if you take bumper off and unscrew the fogs so yeh go for it lol:)

how did you attach your strap? been looking for a long enough m16 bolt and don't know where to get one from

  MK3 1.2
Love the Lenso's but they only look good on a black mk3 in my opinion.

Are you doing anything about a new exhaust? I still have the factory fitted and i like how you cant see the tip without looking under the bumper but i would like a bit more growl as mine sounds like an N reg fiesta lol :banghead:

Spot on though ;)
