My Riley Elf does Prom Night

My Niece asked me if I could drive her to her prom night. I thought nice she wants to be dropped off in the Clio. No I was wrong it was the Riley that she chose. So thought I would make a bit of an effort and polished the living daylights out of it, got the missus to add some girly touches and Pete's your Uncle. Didn't go the whole hog as the Chauffeurs cap I got from Ebay was stupidly small.

The Riley Elf and Wolseley Hornet were upmarket versions (more pricey) of the Mini with a boot. I don't know much more than that. Not simply a Golf with a boot.

The Riley elf and Wolseley Hornet were Coachbuilt sharing a majority of panels with the Mini. so the whole rear end and nose were handbuilt. It is essentially like any old Mini to live with. Spare parts are readily available from any of the Mini specialists, apart from body panels. Like any old car rust is a problem but less than on later Minis due to a heavier guage steel used back in the day. It's not a private plate but the original plate that came with the car. Must get it valued lol as could be worth a fortune. My niece is the one in pink and the girl in red is her friend. The Justin Bieber lookalike is their friend. Teenagers huh!!!!
