N73 or K800i?

New phone time and I can't decide between the two.

I've always had Nokia and been very happy with them. I did once get a SE K700i but that was shockingly unreliable and was replaced by a Nokia.

I don't really need all the smartphone stuff of the Nokia as I have a seperate PDA for that stuff. But I'm not entirely sure I want a SE phone.

I know the SE lovers will back that and the Nokia will back the Nokia.

I'm happy with my N73, it does run slow and crash very occasionally though, I haven't thrown it against a wall yet though lol.

I've owned both and prefer the N73. With the latest software you shouldn't have problems with it crashing or running slowly, all ok for me.

n73. had a k800i and i wasnt happy with it at all. As said n73 with latest firmware is mint.

I've had my K800i for a while now, after only EVER having Nokias, I find the SE to be much quicker running than the sh*tty crashing Nokias. I don't think its ever crashed on me, the camera is great.

Very bad phone

My brother has one and has no end of hassle with it.....looks fancy and has all the gubbins but not actually any good.

I believe some companies have stopped selling the N73 now due to the crashing problems etc.

I think Orange had problems with them due to the customised software they insist on installing. The original Nokia software which is available using the update utility on the Nokia site is perfectly stable, more so than my old k800i.

That was orange, take that with a pinch of salt as orange use their own firmware, which is b****cks.

Ive always had Nokia's, and when my contract was up in November was set on getting the N73. Two of my friends have this phone and they have had nothing but problems, keeps crashing, and very slow. I'd never had SE before but K800i was the only other phone that appealed to me. Have had the K800i for 2months now and ive got nothing but praise for it, awesome phone, awesome camera, highly recommend it and never had any problems with it.

Well i didn't want a smart phone like the N73 as i just wouldn't use everything on it! but i had to have a Nokia as i think they are great phones. So maybe take a look at the 6233, that's what i have its a great phone, really fast menus and a good camera.

a lot of people have problems with them as the uk networks won't allow nokia to release the updates for their network. All sim free (european) phones are fine after upgrading firmware
