N80 Latest Update

Please can someone post a link so i can download the latest software for my Nokia N80.
The sticky doesn't have the N80 listed.

My version at the mo is: v 3.0614.0.3

Also is there any way you can get rid of the shortcuts on the desktop and make it auto keylock when you close it, not so you have to press ok first?

If you are "branded" to a network and you update your firmware you will void your warrenty from them and Nokia.

I think the link to the latest firmware is about 3 pages down in this area.
You have the latest on there for most networks^^ Unless you are unbranded then your 1 behind.

Im with o2 mate.

AFAIK it isn't branded to o2 because there is nothing o2 on it at all and it works on all networks as i have used my orange sim in it too.

Apparently these phones *arent* "unbranded", their product code shows up as being O2, not a generic phone. Apparently most of the "sim free" phones that have been sold are O2 phones, not real generic ones.

If you do the *#0000# on it, you'll see the bottom code says something like:

RM-92 (XX.YY) <- means it's a network phone
RM-92 (X) <- means it's an generic phone

From what I can gather reading forums.....

Nokia N80 (01) is what mine says after re-flashing.

Turn off the Active Shortcuts to deactivate them from the main screen.

right, i have downloaded the file from has's link, now how do i update the phone lol? it just installs something into program c:/files/nokia/phoenix :s

that link is just the firmware....

...go over to the n80 forum at www.allaboutsymbian.com to read on how to flash...no link to thread because it's pretty obvious once you get there!

Just been to my local nokia firmware place.

They said its free of charge if i show them my proof of purchase
