My baby has finally obtained the 4k rattle syndrome! not the dashboard one but the under car metal vibration one! doh! just as i thought id got away with it, noticed it when acceleratin down some backroad where i could hear the sound off the hedges, got home, revd her on me drive and upto 4k shes fine, after that you can hear a metal vibration on the come down when revd. I.E rev to 5k-5.5K and as it comes down i can hear it.

DOH! ordered my quickshift but now dont wanna fit it till cars been repaired!

Anyway was just wonderin what exactly was it we finally got it down to? so i can get renault to fix it straight away no sh*t. i know alot of peeps have had it repaired

do a search mate, weve all had it its the exhaust sheild/centre section. needs replacing under warranty.

mine was the baffles in the centre section of the exhaust (which only has a 1yr warranty), the system needed to be replaced.

i decided to go for a ss exhaust instead as i read on here people had theres replaced with another reno zorst only for it to go again.

I took my car in for its 12month service last month and they replaced the center section of my exhaust because it rattled (id never heard it but I did complain about rattles (dash)) and all that was done on warranty.

Danny - had mine in and they told me it was from the dash - told them to sod of its from under the car and can be heard if you accelerate past 4K revs then ease of until the needle falls back over 4K revs and a tiny buzzing and vibration occurs - booked in again for that and to get the front drivers seat fixed - its stiff!
