Network problem.

  Fiat Panda 100hp
I have a cable modem and 2 PCs and a router.

For some reason the 2 computers wont share internet. I have linked it together as so.

Internet >> Modem >> Router >> 2 cables out of router to two PCSs.

I can ping the other pc from my desktop.

But no joy with the internet, the IPs are the same bar the last 3 digits and both the subnet mask and the default gateway are the same.

Thanks

If you haven't already, try entering the Domain Name Servers (DNS) into your modem config, there's usually 2 of them.

If you don't know what they are then check out the blurb on your ISP's website, they should be listed somewhere.

Also, if you have a firewall on the pc that cannot connect then disable it totally to make sure that's not causing the problem.
