new 172 and CUP 182 use same brake pads

Hi.. please can u help to advise... my mate has owned his 172 a couple on months..(from new) and likes to drive it Schumacher stlye.. hence already replaced the front tyres after 3000 miles! Anyways.... please can u advise him if the 172 and the 182 both use the same pads?? Is it correct that the 172 and 182 use the same pads??? He is getting massive amount of fade from them.. after just a short run. He assumed the 182 pads would be better? But was told they are the same? Please advise on the best pads... with minimal fade...that wont sweak there nuts off? (he fitted some yesterday...and not really given them time to bed in.... and not sure of the ones he fitted...but something like ferrodo? are they any good for what he needs? will they be better...with far less fade? or what are the best?

I use Tar-ox fast road pads. Theyre expensive but they do not fade.

personally id recommend EBC Green Stuff, almost zero brake dust

Ferodo DS Performance are slightly better however they produce a lot of dust

if your buying TarOx then get the fast road pads, DONT buy the race pads, as they are proper race pads and are no good at all for street use
