New alloys and suspension dilemma

  Clio 182 Cup
At the moment my clio has 17" alloys and lowered 15mm rear and 20mm front on eibach pros and I am suffering with my tyres rubbing on my front archs when cornering.

So Im looking at 16" turinis or 15" 2118s both with a change of springs to eibach sportlines instead of pros.

Just wondering if I will suffer the same problem of the tyres rubbing with either 16s or 15s on?

I've got prolines with 16" standards and never had a problem.

I can't see how your tyres would rub on Prolines unless you're running the wrong size wheel/tyre combo.

What size tyres you using?

Weird, are your front dampers in good nick?
Sounds like they're sitting too low.

Also Sportlines sit a little lower than Pros, so that would probably make it worse.

I can't see how changing alloys would solve the problem,
the rolling radius and overall size will still be the same won't it?

Your wheels are wrong offset turini offset for 172 182 is 42mm

I run pro race 38 offset on 17's on sportlines std shocks no problems at all .

pics of wheels fitted ?

Davo, I have fitted 5mm spacers to try and solve the offset problem but still been rubbing.

Could show you pics of tyres and the damage it is doing to both the tyres and arches

I run 17's on my Clio and I have sportlines and I get no rubbing at all. The front is a very strange place too rub, sounds like something is wrong really.

Maybe check the arch liner hasnt popped out of position or moved too

It is rubbing on the lip of a bracket where the front bumper meets the wing, completely worn the arch lining away and now just rubbing on the metal lip
