New bumper and splitter

Car  Black Gold Trophy
Got a bit fed up with stonechips letting the front end down, so I sourced a cheap brand new front bumper, dropped it off to be painted, and a mate happened to be selling a carbon splitter that was in mint condition so I thought I'd snap that up too. I've also got my carbon foglamp surrounds from the old bumper but I've decided to relaquer them as they were chipped aswell.
Fitted them both in an afternoon, snapped some pics next to my girlfriends cup.

Ian Taylor in Horley (surrey) painted the front bumper, while it's not the best job and a bit orange peely in places, for £75 I couldn't really complain and it looks better than having stone chip all over it!

Ah it's her driveway, but cheers anyway!
I actually got the recaros for her, I could have had them for myself if I wanted, but I didn't want them tbh, prefer the full fat seats.
 
Prefer the FF seats?

I'd love a set of Recaros, just for the fact that the standard seats give me really bad back and neck pains after I've been driving a while.
 
Yeah, wait until you've done a long driving with recaros, the full fat seats will feel like a haven!
In fact I even feel the difference in a 10 minute run!
 
I bet you get some odd looks when people see the two cars parked on there together!

I do prefer the BG though ;)
 
Yeah, someone asked me where my blue car was the other day!
I dunno, I like the subtleness of blackgold, it's not too 'in your face', yet in bright sunshine the car sparkles gold and it looks amazing!
Racing blue has its moments though, sometimes its quite nice being the centre of attention, but the car looks filthy with the slightest bit of dirt on it.
 
Where did you get the bumper from, and how much was it if you don't mind me asking.

Did you fit them xenons after you bought it, cos someone said it another thread its illegal to have xenons, if you dont have washerjets!

The only MOT requirement is if a car comes standard from the manufacture with xenon's it must have washer jets (reason I don't know!?), as long as the light coming out the front is white and not too powerful (there are a variant of halogens which are overpowered and not legal) then they will be fine. I can't remember what the maximum luminance is for road cars but search online for it, most HID kits are not over this. Please also remember a xenon arc lamp will only produce light daylight (i.e between 5000 and 6000K) so any bluer bulbs are just normal xenon's dipped in blue paint.

No it's a full fat model and came with xenons, I fitted the blanking plates after I bought it;
a) because they look better

b) because the washers do f*ck all anyway

c) I'm not bothered if it's legal or not, as someone would have to go over the car with a fine toothed comb in order to find them!
 
Yeah your going down for not having washers, mine dont work properly and ive passed 2 MOT's. Westside.

Looks aight to me mate, and that was a well good price. I was there the other day, and wants £70 to do scratch on the left hand side of the bumper. Splitter looks good, i've jus ordered the front splitter, rear rim and fog surrounds from k-tech. cant wait. How u get such a good deal?

Could have painted them myself and got a decent finish like my girlfriends ones (below) but to be honest I like them silver, I even went out and bought brand new bullets for it cos the ones that came with the car looked a bit naff.

Amy U drive past Horley yesterday night bout eightish, saw a car similar to yours drive past the waitrose. I was in the Kebab shop, getting me dinner. Exhaust sounded nice.
 
Since the start of the group buy pretty much, thing is they hadn't finished producing them at that time, but now they have finished the development work they should be getting them out fairly quickly.
Don't think that was Amy last night, she was visiting me in Kingston last night so must have been someone else!
