New cambelt whining!!!!!!!?

I’ve just had my new cambelt kit fitted with new dephaser , aux belt, and water pump
Last week and since having it done it’s developed a whining noise most noticeable when I lift off it’s kind of reminiscent to a supercharger.
Could it have been fitted incorrectly or is it normal for a cambelt on a 182 to be a little whiney for a while?
I don’t remember it ever sounding like that before the replacement.
I bought the kit from rpd so it’s all genuine.

Who fitted it, and was it tensioned correctly. Sounds to be like it's been over tensioned

I wouldn’t have a clue mate I know little about these cars

It wants rechecked imo chap to be sure, they're very finicky the belt replacement jobs on these engines and easy to get wrong

I'd say it sounds like an over tightened auxiliary belt. If so your alternator wont last long.

Yeah just booked it in just hope it don’t snap in the meantime! Haha thanks!
