New Clio Cup 10,995

  Clio 197

Damn, that is a great price. Im sure the strong Euro is working against me , but that is almost €1,000 less than the price Ive got here! And they took a trade...wow!

thats a good price, my dealer still alleges best he can do is list price....lol....monkeys, guess thats the problem with just having the one dealer company in the local area they can spout what ever sh*te they want, best i have been offered was uk sourced at £11600 and that was brand new and not preregistered and from a dealer in glasgow i was offered £12,200

christ

thats a better price that for the yaris t-sport my mum has just ordered

think she may have to change her mind shortly

I was talking to the manager at the Leeds renault garage and he was telling me that staff can have a clio cup for £9200 so I can only say go for as much discount as possible as theres obviously a big margin there for them to play with

Yeah, there is a big margin to play with as my mate is sales manager of our local Renault dealer (& his Dad owns it), so I asked him how much discount I could have...

Trust me, they can do them for a lot less than list! ;)

Nah, its not that low...

He told me it was a percentage discount, so I did the figures and worked out that a Cup was about £10,300 and a 172 about £11,700

These need to be confirmed yet, but thats a good chunk off new price!

my 03 plate 172 was only 12.5k. If you can get a cup for under 10 grand tho that really is probably about the best value for money performance car around.

Why would a CUP be pre-registered? I thought this only happened with cars that couldnt be shifted.
I bought my clio on the 21.10.02, the day the 03 range was launched, took delivery on the 30.11, then found out that dealers had pre-registered it, so my docs say registered 28.11 and transferred to me on the 30.11, chinned them as to why they had pre-registered it and was told it was due to the price i got it for....i was concerned that if i totalled mine i wouldnt get a new car replacement through the insurance but i called them and asked what would happen and they advised that if i could show i had bought the car before it was pre-registered and could show it had only been in their name for 48 hours then my insurance would be fine

so which one you going to go for? an iceberg silver cup would be sweet!
Still now sure...

iceberg!!! think about it, all the other cups around will be mondial blue which is lovely but you would have a iceberg one and with production to stop come the end of the year there wont be that many around!

but question is what will come out to replace it?

Hi folks! Well my first post :)

Im looking to buy a new clio 172 online, as dealers round here are just out to rip me off :( On looking at a couple of the above mentioned sites, I was amazed to the difference in price compaired to dealer list price! Apart from the 2 sites mentioned above for buying a new car, does anyone know of any others - ideally with PX offer?

Thanks!

You cant get Iceberg CUPs.
Yes you can!

Go to http://www.renault.co.ukwww.renault.co.uk and then configure a new Clio. You can pick blue or silver and there is climate control as a £650 option too!

In the UK the Cup is definately available in Iceberg silver!

Could I trade my 14 week old 1.2 16v in for a cup, its done 4200k now, how much do you think theyd give for it? Ive just got a new well paying job so I could have afforded the cup, does anyone know, if you sell your car and youve got the free insurance, do you keep it or does selling it invalidate it?

you can buy them brand new up here for £7995, i bought my 52 plate 1.4 16v with met paint for £8390 brand new, you will be best to sell private as dealers will only offer in the £6000-£6750k price range

they do the cups pre-registered as its like a trade sale, they buy a batch from renault at discount and yes you are the second owner but only on paper.

Delivery 2 -3 weeks.

They only have blue though.

holy sh*t - those are great prices ... i got my cup 3 weeks ago and it cost me £11999 - UK car 03 plate, first owner, with 3yrs warranty and 3yrs AA cover. Also got the diamond brite pack put in with the deal ... having read this thread I feel ive missed out on a better deal !

diamond brite is the protective coating renault put on the paintwork, just like an extra hard wax layer, basically a rip off

Its not just paintwork, as the full treatment does your interior too...

Got it thrown in for nowt on my 106 GTi and it was actually quite good!

No need to ever polish the car, just wash as normal & the water just drops off top leave a great shine. Also protects against bird sh!t & stuff like that.

The best part was the interior treatment as I didn;t fancy spilling anything on my leather & alcanatara seats, so this stuff is like Scotch Guard for carpets and any liquid just sits on the top. Also kept the leather bits conditioned, so stayed in good condition.

was speaking to a guy at the local valet place i go to occasionally and it was him that said its a waste of time. You can do it by mixing 2 different types of autoglym together and polishing it once. Its 50% super resin and 50% of this pink bottle of autoglym that i think is only available to trade. Adds 20 pounds on your valet but you dont need to polish anymore.

Cheers
